Tropical Flora - Botanical Illustration Workshops

A botanical learning experience inspired by the forests of Costa Rica

A two day introductory workshop to get familiar with the basics of botanical illustration Inspired by the traditional aesthetics of wildlife illustration and the surrounding tropical gardens at CAMPO, a destination for art and creativity located in the Guanacaste Peninsula, Costa Rica. 

This course brought together art and modern day naturalism, connecting students with local landscape and their own creativity and artistic skills. Attendants were encouraged to explore illustration techniques while participating in lectures discussing tropical ecology and conversations on the creative process in a multilayered, mind-and-heart opening learning experience.
